Course Overview

What This Course Is About

The Basic Laparoscopy Course is the foundational entry point for any medical professional looking to develop practical laparoscopy skills. Most Nigerian medical graduates have had limited – if any, hands-on laparoscopy exposure by the time they enter practice. This course is built to change that.

Over five intensive days, you will move from the principles and theory of laparoscopic surgery to real hands-on practice on industry-standard simulators and box trainers. You will learn how laparoscopic instruments work, how to navigate the abdominal cavity with a camera, and how to complete foundational operative tasks with precision.

Every session is directly supervised by experienced laparoscopic surgeons who provide continuous feedback on your technique, positioning, and instrument handling. You will leave with both a certificate and the practical confidence to apply what you have learned in a clinical setting.
